School Education for Poor and Orphans

Bugle Trust Karnataka intended tp support orphans and poor students under its prestigeous social project – “No Orphan and Poor Students without Education” (in which all educational needs are met) and has planned to spend over Rs.1,00,000 each month through donations and contributions to support around 300 Orphan and Poor Students under the project.

The main objectives of Bugle Trust Karnataka’s No Orphan and Poor Students without Education project are to:

  1. Provide financial support for the basic education of Orphan and Poor Students
  2. Monitor their educational progress periodically
  3. Remove obstacles that hinder their progress
  4. It costs just Rs. 3000 (Rs. 100 per day per child including food expenses) per month to educate the deserved Students in need.

All Orphan and Poor Students are qualified through a stringent process of filling application forms for each Orphan and Poor Students, followed by investigations done at neighborhoods and schools to ensure that all information about the Orphan and Poor Students and their care-givers is correct. Various documents including the death certificate of the father, school admission records of the Orphan and Poor Students, and national ID cards are acquired before completing the qualification process.

Once qualified, the Orphan and Poor Students are provided with a monthly cash allowance to help meet their basic education needs so they don’t have to go out to work to make money. To continue receiving this monthly allowance for the Orphan and Poor Students, widowed mothers or care givers are required to keep the Orphan and Poor Students in school. Bugle Trust Karnataka’s project managers make un-announced quarterly visits to schools, to monitor and follow up on the progress of these Students being supported.

In addition to a monthly allowance, Orphan and Poor Students may also be provided support through some of Bugle Trust Karnataka’s other projects depending on their age and location.
